Washington, DC -- Representatives Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11), Chris Pappas (NH-01), and David Schweikert (AZ-06) introduced the bipartisan Joint Long-Term Storage Act yesterday to bolster our long-term renewable energy storage capabilities and strengthen our national security. This legislation establishes a joint program between the Department of Defense (DOD) and the Department of Energy (DOE) to integrate current federal efforts to develop long-term energy storage technologies.

Washington, DC -- Representative Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) voted to remove the deadline for ratifying the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) to the Constitution after Virginia became the 38th and final state needed to certify ratification last month. Representative Sherrill is a co-sponsor of the resolution, H.J.Res. 79, which passed with bipartisan support in the House. Rep. Sherrill continues the proud legacy of New Jersey women who have been at the forefront of the fight for equal rights.

Parsippany, NJ -- Today, Representative Mikie Sherrill urged her colleagues to support the Puppies Assisting Wounded Servicemembers (PAWS) for Veterans Therapy Act (H.R. 4305). The bipartisan PAWS for Veterans Therapy Act will create a pilot program within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to give veterans access to treatment derived from working with service dogs. Representative Sherrill is a lead sponsor of the PAWS for Veterans Therapy Act alongside its author, Representative Steve Stivers (R-OH). The House is expected to vote on the legislation this week.
