Passport Assistance

If you are planning to travel outside of the United States, it is important to make sure your passport is up-to-date well ahead of time.

Residents across NJ-11 have come to my office seeking assistance with passport renewals. And while we are always here to help, we also want to share some of the U.S. State Department’s best practices and helpful tips that you can follow to make the renewal process easier. Visit the State Department’s Passport Site for additional information. You can find the answers to some common questions you might have here

If you do not have a passport, apply at least several months in advance of your trip to allow for processing time. Find more information here.

Please keep in mind that some countries require that your passport be valid at least six months beyond the dates of your trip. Some airlines will not allow you to board if this requirement is not met. Click here to check the requirements of the country you are traveling to.
