Washington, DC -- Yesterday, the New Democrat Coalition (NDC) officially endorsed a slate of legislation seeking to address the January 6th insurrection and prevent future acts of domestic terrorism, including legislation introduced by Representative Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) and others that would establish a commission to examine domestic extremism.
Washington, DC – Representatives Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ), Jackie Speier (D-CA), Tom Reed (R-NY), and Andrew Garbarino (R-NY) introduced legislation today to further investigate both the January 6 domestic terrorist attack on the U.S. Capitol and the federal government’s failure to more broadly respond to the threat of domestic terrorism over the past two decades.
The Inauguration ceremony of President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021.
The ceremony is likely to be significantly different from past inaugurations due to public health precautions made necessary by the coronavirus pandemic. Rep. Sherrill's office has no information about the inaugural ceremonies at this time, but has created this page to accept and track requests for tickets to attend the Inauguration.
