Washington, DC – Today, Representative Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11), Vice Chair of the Servicewomen and Women Veterans Caucus, announced the introduction of a resolution designating Women Veterans Appreciation Day to recognize the service and sacrifices of women veterans who have served valiantly on behalf of the United States. Representative Sherrill’s resolution is a companion to S.Res. 235, introduced by Senators Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Marsha Blackburn (R-TN).
Washington, DC – Today, Representative Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) thanked the members of the House Appropriations Committee and her colleague in the New Jersey Congressional Delegation, Representative Bonnie Watson Colman (NJ-12), for their vote to include several of Representative Sherrill’s requests to help veterans and the military installation in the 11th district in the Fiscal Year 2020 Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies bill.

Washington, DC -- This morning Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) successfully offered three amendments to the Veterans’ Access to Child Care Act of 2019. The bill makes permanent a 2010 pilot program to provide child care at VA medical centers and clinics around the country.
