Washington, DC – Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill, member of the House Armed Services Committee, released the following statement on the decision to withdraw from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty:

Washington, DC -- Today Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill was named Chair of the Investigations and Oversight Subcommittee of the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee. The subcommittee is empowered with investigative authority on all matters concerning non-defense federal research.

Washington, DC -- At her first House Armed Services Committee hearing, Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill questioned the redundancy of active component service members deployed this winter to the Southern border to help with capabilities that could be fulfilled through the Department of Homeland Security.
