Sherrill Statement on American Soldiers Killed in Drone Attack

Livingston, NJ — Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill, a member of the House Armed Services Committee and Navy veteran, released the following statement regarding the death of three American service members in Jordan:

“Today, we grieve with the families and friends of the three American service members who were killed by a drone attack in Jordan. I’m also praying for the many wounded. They are all brave Americans who put their lives on the line for our country — and their sacrifice will never be forgotten.  

“While we work to gather all the facts about this act of terrorism, it’s clear that Iran and its proxies have chosen to continue engaging in destabilizing acts in the region — and they are putting our service members in danger. The United States must hold all those responsible to account and deter future attacks on our military personnel.”
