Congresswoman Sherrill Statement on War Powers Resolution

Washington, DC -- Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill released the following statement on the passage of a War Powers Resolution, H.J.Res. 37, which she co-sponsored:

"Congress spoke forcefully today to reassert its constitutional duty over authorizing the use of military force. This bipartisan resolution recognizes the growing humanitarian crisis in Yemen and the need for the United States to establish a long-term strategy.

"I also supported the inclusion of language affirming it is in our national security interest to combat anti-Semitism around the world, and our strong support of Israel. We must stand up to anti-Semitism at home and abroad."
