Art Competition

2022 NJ-11 Congressional Art Competition

Each spring, Congress holds a nationwide high school art competition open to all high school students from each congressional district. Since the competition began in 1982, more than 650,000 high school students have participated. Students submit entries to their Representative's office, and panels of judges select the winning entries. The winner's artwork will be displayed for one year in the US Capitol.
We are now accepting submissions for the 2022 Competition! The competition will be held in person again after being held remotely for the previous two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Artwork submitted for NJ-11's competition will be displayed at an art show and reception at Montclair State University on May 5th. The winner will be announced at this reception.

Due to limitations of gallery space, NJ-11 high schools can select up to two students' work to submit and their art must be dropped off to Rep. Sherrill's District Office. The deadline to submit is April 25th.

Rep. Sherrill's office is located at 8 Wood Hollow Road, Parsippany NJ 07054 and is open from 9 AM to 6 PM.
