Chairwoman Sherrill Field Hearing, “Addressing the Lead Crisis through Innovation & Technology.”
On Tuesday, October 15 at 10 AM EST, Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill (D-NJ), Chairwoman of the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee's Subcommittee on Investigations and Oversight, will host Members of Congress in Bloomfield, New Jersey, for a field hearing titled, "Addressing the Lead Crisis through Innovation & Technology."
Members and witnesses will discuss the prevalence and effects of lead in drinking water and the challenges that local leaders face in addressing lead contamination. Committee Members will also consider innovative, science-based solutions for anticipating risk and preventing contamination and explore research opportunities to help municipalities reduce lead exposure more quickly and cost-effectively.
This field hearing will be open to the public and press.
