Congresswoman Sherrill and Lieutenant General James M. Richardson of Army Futures Command to Tour Picatinny Arsenal on Thursday
Parsippany, NJ – Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill (NJ-11) announced today that Lieutenant General James M. Richardson, Deputy Commanding General, Army Futures Command, will join her for a tour of Picatinny Arsenal on Thursday, April 11th.
“Picatinny Arsenal is essential to the safety of our women and men in the field and to delivering a qualitative edge for our military,” said Congresswoman Sherrill. “I look forward to welcoming Lieutenant General Richardson to New Jersey on Thursday and to discussing what more we can do to ensure the Picatinny workforce has what it needs to prepare our military to win decisively in any future conflicts.”

Picatinny Arsenal is the Joint Center of Excellence for Guns and Ammunition. The critical work performed by more than 6,000 people at Picatinny directly enhances the U.S. military’s capabilities and our soldiers’ safety. It is the largest employer in Representative Sherrill’s District.
As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, Representative Sherrill will continue to ensure the Army has the budget it needs for Picatinny to provide needed capabilities for our national security.
Lt. Gen. James M. Richardson is the Deputy Commander, Army Futures Command. He assists the commander with efforts to assess and integrate the future operational environment, emerging threats, and technologies to develop and deliver concepts, requirements, and future force designs to posture the Army for the future.
